BMI has worked with American institutions for over 35 years. The international student recruitment landscape has changed dramatically during this time, however, one trend remains: the USA is still the top destination for international students.
As the global education industry becomes more crowded and with the cancellation of many US country events in 2022, BMI is rising to the challenge to help US-based providers recapture market share from competing destinations. The BMI Study in the USA marketing initiative will provide extra support to enable American institutions to raise their profile. At all of our student recruitment events around the world, BMI is:
Creating a dedicated US-focused pavilion for students to meet American institutions.
Increasing our US-related marketing budget to attract students focused on the States.
Embedding more US-focused seminar content and information sessions into events.
Our schedule of events below offers a concise overview of opportunities awaiting you in the key recruitment markets of Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and throughout the Gulf region.
In-person and/or virtual… the choice is yours!
US Recruitment Success Story
“We always like to share our success stories from events we have attended. We are still accepting applications for our Fall 2022 intake, and it usually takes us about 1-2 cycles before we see enrollment from our events, but I do have some great news to share!
So far we have received 1 application from the Medellin event, and we are about to admit a student from the Mexico City event in Fall 2021.
This is very exciting news! We are still following up with our contacts and look forward to seeing more students from our BMI events enrol in the future.”

As one of the hottest growth markets for higher education recruitment, you can't miss the Study in the USA pavilion at our fair in Chile, Colombia & Mexico.
Specifically dedicated to the needs of both Undergraduate and Postgraduate recruitment, this event attracts high-calibre students and working professionals who are eyeing up study abroad opportunities.
This tour includes High School Visits in Mexico City, High School Counsellors Workshop and a regional America Scholarship Summit in Bogota, Colombia.
The BMI Americas Scholarship Summit will connect you with outbound government and private scholarship providers, as well as funding agencies, that support students from the Americas to study overseas.
Making agreements with these organisations plays a pivotal role in an institution’s recruitment strategy, and developing personal relationships through face to face contact is the key to success in this part of the world.
Study in the USA is a featured pavilion in BMI's biannual student recruitment fairs in Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam that draw in thousands of academically-oriented students and their parents.
BMI also takes a limited number of accredited institutions on chauffeured visits to top-rated private high schools in Hanoi and HCMC and meet top high school counsellors at the Vietnam Internation School Workshop & Forum.
The Study in the USA pavilion, featured within the UAE Education Fair, puts your institution in front of thousands of affluent ex-pats as well as local students funded via national scholarship programmes during your three-city trip, which includes our main fairs plus escorted visits to top private and international schools.
This high-level networking event connects you with the heads of scholarship programmes from 7 countries across the Gulf so you can find new educational partners and sign agreements to receive funded students that best match your institution. The Summit is government-supported and serves as the grand finale to our series of student recruitment events that make up UAE International Education Week.
Giving you the unique ability to connect with influential leaders at the secondary school level across the Gulf, you'll mix and mingle with counsellors from Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Hold 15 meetings and network with school leaders who advise teenagers and their parents on the next steps in their academic career.
