There’s no denying the power and appeal of funded scholarship programmes, both for the students who are lucky enough to qualify and the institutions that are fortunate enough to receive them.
Having the right contacts with funding organisations and government departments is critical, but finding the right people within them can often be a challenge. This is an audience which is in perpetually high demand and as such, is extraordinarily difficult to reach.
Summits that connect you with the most important scholarship organisations in the world
For these reasons, BMI has developed three prestigious events (traditionally held in London,Abu Dhabi, and Bogota or online when necessary) for scholarship providers to meet and select international partner institutions to receive their funded students.
Unlike any other event in the international education industry, BMI’s Scholarship Summits draw in the heads of the largest scholarship programmes in the world, including national and departmental government programmes, national and private corporations, as well as universities and vocational scholarship providers.
Watch our videos for a quick overview of how these luxurious, high-level networking events connect institutions with this coveted audience – either at the Global Scholarship Summit with more than 70 funding organisations in attendance, or at a regional summit for a geographic focus.
Connect with a VIP audience
BMI is proud to connect you with an elite audience of organisations that send or fund significant numbers of individuals for overseas study or training each year.
The annual Global Scholarship Summit attracts scholarship providers from around the world to London (or online when necessary) where scholarship organisations and institutions meet to discuss large scale training projects that may be delivered in country or abroad.
On a regional level, scholarship providers from across the Gulf will gather in Abu Dhabi this October for the Gulf Scholarship Summit, which is part of a series of events known as International Education Week UAE, with the Summit acting as the grand finale to cap-off the week’s government-supported events. Meanwhile, scholarship organisations from the Caribbean, North, Central and South America will converge on Bogota, Colombia for the BMI Americas Scholarship Summit in November 2022.
At each event, you’ll be able to pre-arrange private meetings with scholarship providers that best match your institution and the programmes you offer. You also be treated to an extensive programme of luxurious networking functions such as lunches, coffee breaks, a cocktail reception, and a Gala Dinner – all of which provide the perfect atmosphere to foster long lasting partnerships.
Learn more about global scholarship trends and best practices
Following the successful launch in 2020, BMI and its partner Jackfruit Marketing are proud to continue hosting the Global Scholarship Symposium in 2021.
Whereas the Summits focus on bringing institutions and funding bodies together for formal, private meetings to discuss agreements and partnerships, the BMI Global Scholarship Symposium is open to anyone looking to increase their knowledge and understanding of the global scholarship landscape.
The 2021 edition of this event will include sessions for universities and scholarship organisations to discuss topics such as best practices, budget management, selection criteria, geographical variations in scholarship programmes, changing requirements, and streamlining processes.
Make connections with the largest funding agencies in the world in 2022
Early bird rates end on Dec 16, 2022
Abu Dhabi, UAE
This high-level networking event connects you with the heads of scholarship programmes from 7 countries across the Gulf so you can find new educational partners and sign agreements to receive funded students that best match your institution. The Summit is government-supported and serves as the grand finale to our series of student recruitment events that make up UAE International Education Week.
The BMI Americas Scholarship Summit will connect you with outbound government and private scholarship providers, as well as funding agencies, that support students from the Americas to study overseas.
Making agreements with these organisations plays a pivotal role in an institution’s recruitment strategy, and developing personal relationships through face to face contact is the key to success in this part of the world.
At BMI's most prestigious event, we bring accredited institutions together with the heads of international scholarship organisations and senior staff who manage public and private training programmes to decide which education providers will receive their students and train their staff. No other event gives you this kind of access to such a powerful audience.
BMI hosts over 80 events each year in 15+ countries. You can mix and match event types, dates and cities, plus ramp up brand exposure for audiences where you need it most. We’re happy to build a bespoke plan just for you.
BMI connects you to people from across the recruitment spectrum – from the parents and students who are planning their study abroad experience to senior level government representatives, school principals, counsellors, university staff and agents.
