BMI will extend its popular UAE Global Education Fairs in Dubai and Abu Dhabi in order to provide additional exposure for GEMS university partners and more options for local UAE students.
The UAE Global Education Fairs have been running since 2015 and regularly attract thousands of students and families from the UAE who are looking to study with local or international education providers such as universities, colleges, language schools and vocational training centres.
New in 2019, BMI will open a dedicated space for GEMS UniConnect partners inside the UAE Global Education Fairs. The GEMS Pavilion will be the only community-wide event for GEMS UniConnect partners this spring and is perfectly timed to enable institutions to recruit students for Fall 2019 enrolments.
Student fairs in Dubai and Abu Dhabi continue to expand
Held twice a year, the UAE Global Education Fairs attracted over 7,000 visitors to its two events in Dubai and Abu Dhabi in October 2018, and an even larger turnout is expected for the March 2019 events.
The partnership with GEMS means that education providers who attend the BMI fair will be able to meet face to face with students and parents from across the UAE as well as those enrolled in GEM’s prestigious network. In turn, one of the world’s biggest private education providers, GEMS Education will now be able to promote more local and international education options to their own students and parents in their network of 49 UAE-based independent schools.

Opportunities abound for GEMS UniConnect partners
“This is a fantastic opportunity for GEMS UniConnect partners and any university exhibiting at the UAE Global Education Fair to help them connect with local, high-achieving students,” enthused BMI Director Rupert Merrick. “With over 60 higher education institutions attending the events, it also provides a new, more professional environment for secondary school students at GEMS schools in the UAE to explore opportunities to study at the tertiary level in the UAE and around the world.”
GEMS UniConnect partners who exhibit in the GEMS Pavilion will receive:
- The opportunity to speak directly with thousands of parents and students who are planning their study which will commence in the next 18 months – both from the GEMS network as well as from other well-ranked local schools.
- Enhanced exposure as an active GEMS UniConnect partner.
- Either a display table or a fully fitted stand (at a heavily discounted price). The display table option is available exclusively to GEMS UniConnect partners.
- A discounted rate on the first day (March 1st) of the UAE Global Education Fair in Dubai and thereby a chance to meet an additional 2,500 students and parents from across the UAE.
A maximum of 50 places are available in the GEMS UniConnect Pavilion in each city and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.
