We are looking for a highly organised Event Manager with at least two years’ experience in organising and managing consumer or business events.

Event Project Manager
An exceptional opportunity for a senior project manager to work in an international business environment and manage several high-profile student related events. You will be used to working in a fast-paced event environment managing multiple projects and customers. To succeed in this role, you will need a background in the events industry including conferences and exhibitions, and have hands-on experience of recruiting and managing an operations team.
Role and job specifications
The role encompasses two different areas:
Researching, contacting and negotiating with potential media partners relevant to our events.
Managing PR and negotiating with various media channels for advertising and promoting our events.
Creating and implementing a strategy for promoting the fairs to local schools, universities and higher education institutions.
Providing creative input on digital and print advertising.
Managing the day to day operation of the events’ websites including organising translation where necessary.
Operations and Logistics
Liaising and managing relationships with venues, stand contractors and local suppliers.
Helping to compile the exhibitor manuals and assist clients attending our events.
Keeping content up to date on the BMI Exhibitor Information System.
Liaising and managing our relationships with international clients, exhibitors, sponsors and partners.
Attending international fairs to manage build up and successful operations on the day.
Working across general logistics to ensure the fairs run smoothly and successfully.
Assisting all clients with any participation issues and problem solving.
Sourcing, negotiation and contractual arrangements with international venues.
Receiving invoices from suppliers and arrangement with finance team for payment.
Managing an event budget and updating actual costs.
Key attributes we are looking for include:
Strong written and spoken English.
Robust skills in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in event organisation.
Organised, committed, responsible, detail-oriented and self-disciplined.
Ability to travel overseas when required.
International language and experience in the education sector is an advantage.
Must have UK work rights.
Location: London (Edgware, Middlesex, HA8 7EJ, UK)
Salary: Up to GBP 24,000 depending on experience.
Standard Government Pension scheme and Statutory holidays.
