Junior Accountant

We have a terrific opportunity for someone looking for the next step in their career and is excited about working for an industry-leading company that is young at heart and ambitious in its expansion. We are looking for a junior accountant/executive with at least three years’ experience to help with multi currency invoicing, entering expenses, creating reports, credit control work and general financial work. Attention to detail and strong customer service are essential.

We’re looking for a great team player, who has experience and can confidently coordinate with external and internal teams to make sure we keep finance on track. You should be able to communicate clearly, and effectively, and we welcome creativity to get things done faster and better.

Minimum Requirements

Job Description:

  • Enter and code financial transactions appropriately (10% of time)
  • Process payments as well as invoices (20% of time)
  • Controlling credit and chasing debt (15% of time)
  • Reconcile invoices with purchase orders
  • Make bank deposits, performing account and bank reconciliation (5% of time)
  • Issue invoices to customers based on our products/services (25% of time)
  • Review employee expenses and recording them (5% of time)
  • Ensures files are indexed, verified, and available in accordance with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations
  • Update financial data in reports to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed (5% of time)
  • Track expenses as they relate to specific projects and jobs (15% of time)
  • Check all financial transactions for accuracy
  • Creating and updating reports in Excel (5% of time)
  • Entering data accurately into the company accounting system – Good knowledge of QuickBooks or another accounts package essential
  • Assist senior accountant in the preparation of month and year-end closing
  • Assisting with other accounting tasks, as assigned by senior management

Key Skills required:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a small / medium enterprise
  • Knowledge of accounting terminology and experience with accounting systems
  • Strong analytical, administrative and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of accounting rules and legislation
  • Ability to detect inconsistencies
  • Prioritization and strong communication skills
  • Strong written and spoken English
  • Robust skills in using Excel and adaptable to learning new accounting software

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Company Pension Scheme, Fluent in English and must have right to work in the UK. This is a UK based position and currently working is 3 days per week in the London office.
